More information can be found on our page our base.
Our base in Cienfuegos offers all the services of a modern marina as a base for your sailing trip, but also the liveliness of a normal Cuban city, a hinterland with a varied offer in culture and nature, but without the seclusion of a "tourist ghetto". La Perla del Sur, the pearl of the south, this nickname carries the city quite rightly. The location on a ten nautical miles deep, highly articulated bay with a few hundred meters wide driveway makes Cienfuegos an important port. The trading port - above all sugar is exported from here and imported oil - is second only to Havana. Nevertheless, the city retains the beauty of its unique location and a rich architectural heritage, especially from the 19th century. The Teatro Tomás Terry, where Caruso has already performed, and the Palacio de Valle, villa of a turn-of-the-century Mudejar industrialist that is accessible to everyone as a restaurant, are among Cuba's most famous architectural monuments.
Since July 2005, the historic center of Cienfuegos around the Parque Martí has been included in the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO as an excellently preserved example of a 19th century colonial town.

Cuba is still the most untouched and least developed sailing area in the Caribbean. Here you can still find secluded beaches, uninhabited islands and untouched coral reefs. Lonely bays where you can simply spend nights or days without meeting other tourists.
In Cuba there were less than 15 charter sailing yachts in total at the beginning of 2024. All of these sailing yachts are based in Cienfuegos on the south coast of the island.
The best sailing area can be found on the south coast between the Isla de Juvendud (Island of Youth) and the Jardines de la Reina (Queen's Gardens).
The only marina in Cuba where you can charter a bareboat yacht is Cienfuegos.
With us you sail in the area of the south coast of Cuba. The sailing area is still very pristine. There are many uninhabited islands and untouched beaches waiting for your visit. We will be happy to explain the details and help you plan your trip. Plan your sailing trip with us.
We offer yacht charters with catamarans and monohull yachts. You sail along the south coast of Cuba. The sailing area stretches from the east with the Jardines de la Reina to the west with the Isla de Juventud. In between are the cities of Trinidad and Cienfuegos as well as the islands around Cayo Largo.
The water depth in our sailing area is only 2 m in many areas of the Cayos. Our catamarans are ideally suited for this area. The monohull yachts sail with short keels so that they can cope with the shallow water depths.
The Cienfuegos marina has a supply store for the most important groceries and meat (meat can be ordered in advance). Fresh fruit and vegetables can be bought at the local market. There are also several stores in Cienfuegos that complement the range of products on offer. Our local base manager will explain to you exactly which goods you can buy where.
Communication by cell phone is now available almost everywhere in Cuba. SIM cards with LTE internet connection have also been available for tourists since spring 2020. You can find out how and where here: “Internet and telephone”

He speaks very good Spanish, English, French and perfect German. He will be happy to introduce you to the area and provide you with all the information you need about Cuba. Take your time and allow yourself to be briefed in detail.
During the “Check In” you will receive a detailed introduction to the boat. All functions and equipment are checked together and ticked off on the checklist. The same is done at the “Check Out” after your cruise.
